Sewing Offerings
Sewing can take many forms. Some people are drawn to garments and apparel, while others are interested in home goods, repair, or creative textile work.
At MADE, our sewing program is designed to meet you wherever you are starting. Whether you want to try a sewing machine for the first time, learn a specific technique, or build skills over several weeks, there is a place to begin.
Our MADE Levels Guide can help you choose what feels right.
All classes are designed for adults and include materials, tools, and studio support. Just show up and be ready to make!
Try Sewing
Getting in front of a sewing machine can feel intimidating. These classes are designed for anyone curious about sewing. They are relaxed, beginner-friendly, and centered around building foundational skills.
-
A one time introductory workshop designed for complete beginners. Learn the basics of using a sewing machine through the Skill Square, a guided exercise where failing fast and forward is encouraged. In addition to the Skill Square, you will put these skills into practice through a small project to be proud of.
-
A multi-week introduction designed for students ready to dive in and dedicate more time. Foundational skills are built through the Skill Square and applied toward a completed beginner project over the course of the series.
Sewing Workshops
Our sewing workshops are project-based and most often centered around a pattern. Depending on the project, classes may be offered as a one time workshop or a multi-week series.
Workshops are organized by level, allowing you to build skills over time while completing finished, functional pieces.
