Private Workshops & Events

Private workshops at MADE are designed for gatherings, celebrations, and time spent creating something together.

Whether you’re planning a birthday, bachelorette party, bridal shower, team bonding experience, or simply bringing a group together, these experiences are hands-on, beginner-friendly, and built to feel relaxed and memorable.

We offer two formats- Workshop or Gather at MADE. Learn more below to see what’s best for your group.

Option 1

Workshop

A private workshop for your group, led by an instructor.

This option is centered around the making. Whether you’re working with clay or flowers, your group will be guided through a selected project while you create, connect, and enjoy the experience together.

All materials are provided, including tools and project-specific materials.

Guests are welcome to bring light food and drinks. Due to the flow of classes throughout the studio, this option is best suited for groups focused primarily on the workshop experience, with limited time for gathering before or after.

Check out our avaiable project options below.

Option 2

Gather at MADE

A private workshop with space to gather, celebrate, and stay awhile.

This experience includes everything in the Workshop, along with a dedicated point of contact to help hold the flow of your event from start to finish.

We’ll take care of the details so you can stay present.

This option is ideal if you’re planning an intimate shower, birthday, or celebration and don’t want to change locations to continue your time together. You’ll have space to gather before and after your workshop for food, gifts, or simply lingering with your group.

Clay and food don’t mix particularly well, but we’ve made space for both. Gather at MADE includes time in our fiber and floral studio for food and conversation, separate from clay workspaces.

  • A dedicated point of contact for your event who will:

    • Greet guests as they arrive

    • Help manage timing and flow of the event

    • Assist with light setup and decorating the space

    • Support with food and drink setup (outside food welcome)

    • Reset and clean shared spaces after

We’ll also provide a set of our ceramic plates and cups for your gathering and take care of all washing.

  • Light food and drinks are welcome. Guests 21 and older are welcome to bring their own beverages.

We are not able to accommodate full plated meals, but Gather at MADE provides the space and support for a casual, well-paced celebration.

For clay workshops, food and gathering take place in our fiber and floral studio before or after your workshop time. For floral workshops, food and making can be more naturally integrated.

Workshop Project Options

Private Clay Workshops

There are two primary ways to approach clay, on the potter’s wheel or through handbuilding.

The potter’s wheel is a fun way to try something new, get a little messy, and have a laugh with friends. You likely won’t walk away with your next favorite coffee mug, but that’s part of the experience.

Handbuilding offers a more controlled approach, making it a great option for beginners. Using slab-building techniques, creating a functional piece like a coffee mug is very achievable.

  • A beginner-friendly introduction to the pottery wheel. This private version of our Take It for a Spin experience gives guests a chance to try throwing on the wheel with guided instruction, focusing on simple forms and the experience of working with clay.

    2 hour workshop experience

    Available for groups of 5–8.

  • Create functional ceramic pieces using slab, coil, and shaping techniques. Project options include mugs, floral imprint planters, luminaries, and personal cheese and cracker plates.

    2 hour workshop experience

    Available for groups of 5–12.

  • A combined experience that includes both wheel throwing and handbuilding. Your group will be split in two, with one group at the wheel and the other handbuilding before switching. Guests will create a handbuilt mug alongside their time on the wheel, offering a broader introduction to working with clay.

    3 hour workshop experience

    Available for groups of 10–16.

Private Floral Workshops

Floral workshops are a chance to spend time with natural materials, explore color and texture, and create something beautiful to bring into your space. We partner with a local flower farm, Butter Flower Farm, so you’ll be working with locally grown florals—fresh or dried, depending on the season.

  • Design a floral arrangement in a vessel using seasonal materials. We’ll be working with fresh or dried florals, depending on the season. Focus on balance, placement, and creating movement within a structured form.

    2 hour workshop experience

If you’re ready to get your bridal party working on arrangements for the big day, this experience includes 10% off DIY flower buckets through Butter Flower Farm.

    2 hour workshop experience

    Available for groups of 5–16.

  • This is a more self-guided workshop experience, designed to be flexible and social with light guidance to get started. A curated selection of fresh flowers is provided for guests to create their own arrangements. We’ll introduce the materials, then leave space to explore and design freely.

    11–15 guests $450

Booking & Availability

We recommend reaching out at least one month in advance, with 2–3 months preferred, so we can coordinate instructors and hold space for your group.

To reserve your event, a non-refundable retainer is required:

Groups of 5–10: $75
Groups of 10–16: $125

This retainer secures your date and will be applied toward your total event cost. Because we schedule staff and prepare materials in advance, retainers are non-refundable.

This retainer is separate from the per-person workshop fee, which is listed with each workshop option and varies based on the experience selected.

Once your date and time are confirmed, we’ll send a private event booking link. You may complete registration for your group or share the link with guests to sign up individually.

Fill out the form below and our team will be in touch as soon as possible.
