Retail at MADE
The retail shop at MADE is an extension of our studio. We aim to create an environment that feels aligned with our brand identity and the customers we serve.
We are committed to offering work that is well made and rooted in craftsmanship. Materials matter. Process matters. The way something is constructed and finished matters. We look for goods that reflect thoughtfulness in both design and execution.
We know it isn’t realistic for every maker to operate their own storefront. When done intentionally, shared retail becomes an act of collaboration — a way for independent businesses to share space, resources, and visibility while staying focused on the work itself.
50% of our retail footprint is dedicated to our in-house MADE line. The remaining space is reserved for a limited number of vendors whose work complements the overall shop.
This is not a booth-style marketplace. Display areas are integrated throughout the shop rather than divided into individual stalls. Placement is determined by footprint, visual impact, and overall balance within the space.
We operate primarily through consignment partnerships that include a monthly space investment and commission structure, outlined below.
What We Provide
Vendors at MADE receive:
• A staffed storefront open five days per week
• Professional merchandising and display integration
• Inventory processing and monthly sales reporting
• Sales tax collection and remittance
• Exposure to steady studio traffic generated through classes and memberships
We handle the day-to-day retail operations so vendors can focus on making.
Consignment Partnership Tiers
Vendors are assigned to a footprint tier based on display needs and overall shop integration. Final placement is determined after review.
Small Footprint
$100 per month
30% commission retained by MADE
Designed for vendors whose work fits within 1–2 integrated shelf sections or a small tabletop display area.
Medium Footprint
$175 per month
20% commission retained by MADE
Intended for brands requiring feature shelving, wall display, or consistent table presence within the shop.
Large Footprint
$275 per month
15% commission retained by MADE
For vendors needing designated floor displays or a significant visual presence within the retail environment.
Final placement is determined by overall footprint, inventory volume, and category balance to maintain a cohesive and elevated shop experience.
What We’re Looking For
We are drawn to work that reflects strong craftsmanship, thoughtful design, and care in production. Whether functional or decorative, pieces should feel intentional and durable — something made to be kept, gifted, or lived with.
Work that complements our ceramic, fiber, and home-focused offerings tends to integrate naturally into the space. This may include textiles, home decor, wood objects, paper goods, botanical elements, or other design-forward handmade items.
These examples are not exhaustive. If your work aligns with the aesthetic and ethos of the studio, we encourage you to apply.
Please note: we are not accepting ceramic work from outside vendors at this time. Ceramic goods within the shop are reserved for the MADE line and studio staff.
